Finally the wind has turned the right direction and we continue along a mile log fisher net direction Africa, then turning east only to hear from Tarifa radio, that there is a gun exercise and we are not allowed to continue in the costal waters. Luckily after one hour the exercise was called off and we pass the rock on our port side at 15.00 sailing into the night with 5-6 Beaufort.
The wind increases to force 8 with gusts of 9. We meet Aida Diva and ask over the radio for the latest weather report. Sounds nasty and I decide to get into nearest port, which is Mazzaron and wait there for better weather. Before the entrance there is heavy ground sea and only with both engines full ahead I manage to get the boat safely into port. Funny enough there are two ports Mazzaron and they are switched in the electronic charts.
